Telecommunication
The need for the Communications over the longer distance
has become the most important aspect of the human lives. The
term telecommunication is applied on the number of things
such as internet, mobile phones, VOIP, satellite systems,
radio, television, LAN and satellite phones. It is a great
medium for the distant educational resources, business promotion,
voice communication and entertainment. It has reduced
the need of physical travel as with its power we can communicate
with each other through the video conferencing, emails, chats,
and internet phone calls. It has made the people from all
around the world to come closer to each other. It has great
impact on the large number of the businesses.
Today we need to communicate with the people on the other
part of the globe. Telecommunication is the electronic transmission
of the voice, data, text, images and video signals over a
long distance through different mediums such as micro waves,
radio waves and fiber optic cables etc. A telecommunication
networks consist of multiple transmitting and receiving stations. Right now, as seen in machine to machine with AT&T, there's advances where telecommunication will be able to transmit data from telecommunication systems to computers to analyze data in a real time environment.
Telecommunication includes the satellite systems, broadband
systems, microwave systems, digital networks, telephone networks,
radio stations, LAN and wireless networks. In a telecom network,
data is transmitted in the form of communication signals known
as carrier wave that travels over the radio or microwave.
The telecom systems consist of three basic elements i.e. transmitter,
transmission medium and receiver. The transmitter and receiver
can be combined into a single device known as transceivers.
The other telecom hardware includes the access gateway, routers,
switches, receivers, equalizers, translators, antennas, splitters,
amplifiers, repeaters, CDMA modem cards, connectors, splitters,
fiber optic cables and other networking products. The different
transmitting and receiving devices are combined together to
exchange the data and transmission signals between them.
The industry has been experiencing a potential growth over
the past few years, which and brought the greater employment
opportunities for the telecom engineers, network specialists,
WAN engineers, telecom security specialist. Telephone system,
internet, LAN and radio stations are the examples of the telecommunication
systems.
