Telecommunication

The need for the Communications over the longer distance has become the most important aspect of the human lives. The term telecommunication is applied on the number of things such as internet, mobile phones, VOIP, satellite systems, radio, television, LAN and satellite phones. It is a great medium for the distant educational resources, business promotion, voice communication and entertainment.  It has reduced the need of physical travel as with its power we can communicate with each other through the video conferencing, emails, chats, and internet phone calls. It has made the people from all around the world to come closer to each other. It has great impact on the large number of the businesses.

Today we need to communicate with the people on the other part of the globe. Telecommunication is the electronic transmission of the voice, data, text, images and video signals over a long distance through different mediums such as micro waves, radio waves and fiber optic cables etc. A telecommunication networks consist of multiple transmitting and receiving stations.

Telecommunication includes the satellite systems, broadband systems, microwave systems, digital networks, telephone networks, radio stations, LAN and wireless networks. In a telecom network, data is transmitted in the form of communication signals known as carrier wave that travels over the radio or microwave.  The telecom systems consist of three basic elements i.e. transmitter, transmission medium and receiver. The transmitter and receiver can be combined into a single device known as transceivers.

The other telecom hardware includes the access gateway, routers, switches, receivers, equalizers, translators, antennas, splitters, amplifiers, repeaters, CDMA modem cards, connectors, splitters, fiber optic cables and other networking products. The different transmitting and receiving devices are combined together to exchange the data and transmission signals between them.

The industry has been experiencing a potential growth over the past few years, which and brought the greater employment opportunities for the telecom engineers, network specialists, WAN engineers, telecom security specialist. Telephone system, internet, LAN and radio stations are the examples of the telecommunication systems.
